Promoting British Values is about preparing children and young people to become respectful, responsible and active members of society. 

We help settings embed British Values naturally across the curriculum and daily practice by supporting:

• Democracy and pupil participation: Encouraging pupil voice and participation in decision-making.

• The rule of law: Promoting understanding of rules, fairness and responsibility.

• Individual liberty: Supporting pupils to make informed choices and express themselves confidently.

• Mutual respect: Developing respectful relationships within diverse communities.

• Tolerance of different faiths, beliefs and cultures: Encouraging understanding and appreciation of different beliefs and backgrounds.

Our approach ensures British Values become part of the everyday ethos of the setting rather than a standalone initiative.
